Our inaugural meeting for 2014 is this Thursday the 27th! We’ll be having a film screening of Julia Sweeney’s “Letting Go of God”, with free pizza and drinks provided. Location is our usual meeting room in DB23-004, kicking off at 7PM.
If you’re new to uni and interested in finding out about our group, or maybe you’re a returning student who’s been meaning to check us out for a while, this is your chance to do so in a relaxed and informal setting. Get to know some friendly, like minded people and enjoy a free feed and a movie!
Our regular monthly discussion meetings start next Monday the 3rd of March, where our guest speaker, Townsville Humanists president Michael Crozier, will be facilitating a discussion on the topics of charities and the different schools of thought within Humanism.
Don’t forget about our O-Week stall this Wednesday! We’ll be out the front of the Refect from 10 till 2, and we still need volunteers! If you’re free between these times and keen to help, drop us a message and let us know. Or just front up on the day, that’s cool too.
Have a great first week of uni!
